In October 2012, Lexmark introduced the CS310 color laser printer with an OEM-rated print speed of 25 pages per minute (ppm) in both color and black-and-white printing, and a monthly duty cycle of 60,000 pages per month. The CS410 and CS510 printers were also launched in October 2012, but with print speeds of 32 ppm in both color and black-and-white printing, and duty cycles of 75,000 and 85,000, respectively.

All three models utilize the same 1,000 page low yield toner cartridges (C, M, Y and K), a 4,000 page yield black cartridge and 3,000 page yield color cartridges, along with the 40,000 page yield drum unit. Only the CS510 uses 4,000 page extra high yield color and 8,000 page extra high yield black cartridges.

Cartridge SKUs vary depending upon the market region in which they are sold. Replacement toner cartridges are available in Use and Return (high and low yield) and Non-Return (high yield) versions. Drum units are available in Use and Return versions only.

All models ship with Return Program cartridges; the CS310 with either 750 page yield starter cartridges (“n” versions) or 1,400 page yield starter cartridges (“dn” versions), the CS410 with 1,400 page yield “starter” cartridges (all colors), the CS510 with 6,000 page yield black and 4,000 page yield color “starter” cartridges. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
